  • Fone Haus: A retail chain specializing in smartphones and accessories.

Objective:

  • To increase sales of Motorola G31 and G51 phones in Fone Haus stores nationwide and online through an engaging and viral marketing campaign.

Campaign Concept:

  • Theme: State of Origin themed campaign, leveraging the rivalry between Queensland Maroons and New South Wales Blues in Australian rugby league.
  • Mechanics: Customers purchasing Motorola G31 or G51 phones could choose a winning team (QLD Maroons or NSW Blues). If their chosen team won the State of Origin match, they received a refund on their phone purchase.

Achievements:

  • Sales Impact: Quadrupled sales of Motorola G31 and G51 phones during the campaign period.
  • Viral Success: The campaign gained significant traction on social media and offline channels, surpassing expectations in terms of reach and engagement.
  • Early Success: Due to overwhelming popularity and increased sales, the promotion had to be ended earlier than planned.
